Mcleodganj  is also known  as mini Tibet  , where the air itself is so refreshing and the breathtaking view of the mountains provide an environment which can lead you to self enlightenment  and sense of spirituality.



A small place in local language is "chota packect bada dhamaka'' the place consist of several famous tourist attractions which comprises of Triund, St' john church, Bagsu waterfall, Tibetan children village, Dharmashala cricket stadium, Daramkot, and for all those who love arts the place comes with the Tibetan institute of performing arts.
The journey comes with the pinch of twist and turn through the Himalayan ranges. But with the mesmerizing cafe culture of place an individual forgets everything. "Mandela cafe" is known for the best espresso ever and "Nicks / Kunga" for great Americano, cheap cookies and 5 rupee water refills! "Rogpa Cafe" is another cool little shop with great decor serving amazing Vegan chocolate cake, awesome flapjacks and Korean style drip-coffee is love.


For all foodies out there the place comes with an exciting cuisine consisting dumplings (Momos), spicy noodle dip in various sauces with chicken lamb, and for all tea lover small tea corners give exciting offers.




The best time to visit is September as the town is flooded with lush green beauty, as the sun set the wonderful colors of the horizon enhances the quietness of the road. The amazing monasteries silently invite you to come and join them towards the path of meditation. The Tibetan culture on the road is the beauty of place.

It's better to start descending by 2.00pm to avoid trekking in dark as it take 3to 3.5 hours to descend.
