I Love You Papa - Happy Father's Day
"By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right,
he usually has a son who thinks he's wrong". It's the same, we will
realize this by the time we will become a parent.- Charles Wadsworth
The most
ignorant person of the family, who spend all his life by expecting from their
wife or children to be understood and we realize them only when we become
parents. The person who completes all
our wishes before even asks anything, the man who suffer with stress and sacrifice
their happiness to make us smile. Here are few question to ask yourself:
·
How many of you have said to your father “I Love You”?
·
Have you ever asked him what happened dad?
·
Did you try taking his stress away?
·
When was the last time when you hugged him?
·
When was the last time when you made your dad feel special?
·
Have you ever said “Thank You”?
If you haven’t
done anything from the above things, please do it today instead of just showing
your love on social media.
As Father’s
Day approaches, there’s constantly steam on Indian Media and social media.
There are advertisements, messages, and posters on TV and Social media about
father’s day as compared to Mother’s Day; we do not give much importance to
Father’s Day. But have we ever thought why do we celebrate Our Father only on
this day? And why not every day. It’s a day where children give surprises to
their dad’s by cooking or drawing something for them, they make them feel
special on that particular day.
But this is all not real but ostentatious. The stereotype of gender has made father’s day a bit different from mother’s day. A father is the strongest person in everyone’s life, a wife, a mother or a daughter can’t do anything without a father. Our fathers are the one who nurtures, teaches, who fights and shouts but love’s unconditional. They are the most simple and humble people in our family, they might be rough from the outside but they are soft from inside. They are the strongest and emotionally practical people of the family. They can sacrifice everything for their family even if it takes away a lot from them. They hide their deepest feelings from their family, they carry tons of load and pressure on their shoulders and still be smiling. But as their children what we do? We sometimes forget about their feelings at all. We don’t know anything about them as much they know about us. There friends, their favorite food, TV Show, favorite place and so on. We don’t know any of these things about our fathers. We fail to understand them and that’s why they don’t explain themselves.

When a boy
cries in front of everyone, he is told to hide his emotions irrespective of the
intensity of the pain. Why? because he’s a boy and has to be strong and manly. Why
do we expect such a thing from our fathers? Men’s and women’s are builds
in a very different way, men are not at all good at sharing their feelings and
fathers are the worse in this case. What we also don’t know is that there are
many fathers or even brothers who suffer from mental problems or depression by
keeping things to them. Father's mental health is most emerging today, 7% of
fathers are in depression for some reason. Paternal mental health is always
neglected and this leads to more cases of suicides. We have to understand that
they need to be heard. They need someone who can sit beside them and ask about
them who can ask about how they feel, who can say that its ok to be not okay
sometimes and help them get out of their grief. We as children are more
connected to our mothers and that’s why we don’t match with our fathers on an
emotional level.
Many fathers lost children and many children who have lost their father’s. They carry anguish and heaviness in their hearts when the father's day arrives.

Father’s day
is not just a day for fathers, it’s also about to remember how strong and
humble our dad is and why we love them. We have to make this day significant
and happiest for our fathers. It’s not important if you go out for dinner or
sit at home dining and have regular dinner what matters are most of you are
with your fathers who are happy and delighted.
