‘Never Give up’: The Mantra to My Fitness
Time and health are two precious assets that we don't recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted.:- Denis Waitley
Work is passion and fitness is love!
Being the founder of the company, it brings a lot of work pressure and it is a
challenge to manage time for fitness in my everyday routine. I feel time and health is very precious but
we don’t realize its value unless they get depleted, I realized it when I was diagnosed with Tuberculosis which made me lose
my mental and physical strength. I started weighing 34kgs and was very lean and
due to my internal weakness it became difficult to even stand up for long
hours. Apart from my physical weakness I also had to fight bullying of my
friends who used to tease me by saying that I can be swept away from a small
dust storm. Suffering from such a severe medical condition and simultaneously fighting with
lameness of people generated an urge to become fit. My not giving-up
attitude and conviction to attain fitness gave me the firmness to fight and
emerge as a winner and get to lead a normal life betraying Tuberculosis.
After having long working hours I
manage to go to Gym sometimes early in the morning or late in the evening
following my daily exercise routine which includes cardio, push ups and weight
lifting. Apart from this I also follow a balanced diet which has all the
nutrients in equal amounts, I prefer to go for a walk in the laps of nature and
do yoga in fresh air. There is a myth
amongst youngsters these days that big muscles is the definition of being
healthy but I believe the actual meaning of being healthy is to be active,
quick and flexible and not making big muscles by working out for long hours and
taking steroids and protein shakes which can give adverse health hazards in
future.
Exercise gives us an outlet for suppressed energies created by stress
and thus tones the spirit. Maintaining your body perhaps the prettiest gift of
God should be human’s foremost responsibility. Fitness that you have to step out of your comfort zone and that you
have the potential to change your life. Two major steps which can lead you
to fitness is passion and conviction, passion is required to attain fitness and
conviction is required to maintain that. Honestly, we all lose interest in
being fit once we achieve what we want but I believe it should be a lifetime
process irrespective of all the hustle and bustle of life, work pressure and everything
else.
Appreciable
