How To Stay In Shape Without Going Gym
Coronavirus has taken over more than
209 countries and India is one of them. Due to this deadliest virus has spread
all over the country and the only solution for this is social distancing, but
it’s not possible in a country with a population of 130 crores so there is a
complete lockdown all over the country from past few weeks. All the gyms,
malls, restaurants or any places of the public gathering are shut down till
this pandemic gets over. So with this home confinement most of you have become
a couch potato or everyone is binge watching Netflix and Prime or losing
themselves in just sleeping like beanbags. But have you realised that you can
utilise this time by keeping yourself fit at home. Going to a gym and exercising
on a machine is not always the only option, you can also workout at home. So
here are some ways that will help you in staying fit.
1. Watch Workout Videos
Today fitness is not just in gyms or
sports but now it’s available virtually as well. These days fitness videos are
really trending in which they’ll teach you cardio exercises and many other ways
of workout that you can do at home. You just need to set your routine and give
yourself an hour for your daily workout. While working out start watching these
videos and follow all the exercises in different sets. This is a great way for
beginners to learn these exercises.
2. Walk at home
Walking is considered one of the most
underrated exercises but it’s the most essential one to do. Because of this lockdown
you can’t go for running in parks or gardens of your society. To follow the
social distance you can go for a walk on your terrace, and can even do your
exercise as well. Early morning and evening can be the best time for you to
workout.
3. Give yourself some basic fitness
apparatus.
We know that all of us don’t have much
equipment that is used in the gym, but we can always be creative with this. If
you have lightweight dumbbells then it's really helpful in your workout but if
you don’t have you can take any object that weighs the same as dumbbells and
must be handy while exercising. There are jump ropes and stability balls used
for workouts.
4. Include bodyweight exercises in your
workout plan.
Pushups, planks, crunches, squats,
jumping squats, lunges, burpees are some of the bodyweight exercises. These
bodyweight exercises are easy and quick which you can do at home easily. These
exercises will increase your mobility and stability as well and are also
helpful in the prevention of injuries.
5. Make household work your
exercise
Right now is the best time to be with
your family and help them. You don’t even know that you can find some great
exercises in your own house. Helping your mother in the household work can be
some of the best exercises for you. Cleaning the house is actually a great way
to get moving and you can burn your calories as well.
